Our first morning sunrise at the Shore Lodge in McCall, Idaho.
McCall is a resort town on the western edge of Valley County, Idaho, approximately 100 miles north of Boise. Named after its founder, Tom McCall, it is situated on the southern shore of Payette Lake, near the center of the Payette National Forest.
Originally a logging community whose last sawmill closed in 1977, McCall is now an all-season tourist destination for outdoor recreation. The resort town is known for its Winter Carnival, extended winters, and one of the highest average snowfalls in Idaho.
My apologies for not getting any further still and drone photos/videos of the quant town itself, as the smoke and haze from regional forest fires returned the very next day of our stay. Nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our 27th Wedding Anniversary there and had a great time.
